CLASSES OF MEMBERSHIP 2022

 

ORDINARY:                              A person between 18 and State Retirement Age.

SENIOR CITIZEN:                                    A person of State Retirement Age.

DISABLED:                                A person in receipt of a disability benefit. Send a copy of the CURRENT letter from the Benefits Agency.

                                                    Blue parking badges are NOT accepted as evidence.

INTERMEDIATE:                                       A person aged 15, 16 or 17 on 1st April 2022.

ADDITIONS TO THE ABOVE:         ( Must fish in the same swim as senior member above with ONE rod only)

JUNIOR:                                      Between the ages of five and fourteen inclusive.

ASSOCIATE:              Spouse or partner ONLY of a full member above who wishes to enter Club waters and fish occasionally.

NON-FISHING:                         A person wishing to enter Club waters, but with no right to fish. (Separate form and photo required)

DATE OF BIRTH:                                      Required for all members. Omission WILL delay your application.

CLOSE SEASON: (Stillwaters)        April only, to allow us to work on our waters (fishing available to work party attendees during April).

GATES:                                     All gates have key operated padlocks, a key will be provided free to new members.

SOUTHMINSTER: T N B    A freehold complex of nine lakes. Carp to 20lbs, tench to 6lbs, bream to 8lbs, roach, rudd, perch, gudgeon.

 

BRAINTREE: T B              A freehold site with two lakes. Carp to 28lbs, tench to 8lbs, bream to 8lbs, pike to 24lbs, perch, roach, rudd, eels.

 

ASHELDHAM: T N B        A freehold lake with numerous bays. Carp to 20lbs, eels to 8lbs, roach, rudd, perch, tench.

 

MOUNTNESSING: T B       Four lakes over two locations. Carp to 28lbs, tench to 7lbs, bream to 6lbs, roach, rudd, perch.

 

INGATESTONE: T B           Three lakes over two locations. Carp to over 30lbs, tench to 8lbs, bream to 8lbs, roach, rudd, perch, pike.

 

BICKNACRE: T N B         6-acre lake. Carp to over 30lbs, bream to 8lbs, perch to 3lbs, rudd & roach to 2lbs

 

LITTLE EASTON (RECTORY PONDS):  T B      Two connected ponds containing carp to 20lbs, roach to 2lbs, bream and crucians.

 

HIGH EASTER: T B        Agricultural reservoir. Tench to 5lbs, roach, bream, perch, rudd, and crucians.

 

WRITTLE: T B               1.5-acre lake. Carp to 25lbs, pike to 20lbs, tench, brown goldfish, roach, perch, rudd.

 

WEST HANNINGFIELD: T B   1.5 acre lake. Carp to 20lbs, roach, gudgeon.

 

SHALFORD: T B                Two small ponds, & two agricultural reservoirs nearby. Carp to 15lbs, tench, roach, rudd, chub & perch.

 

THE FOLLOWING ARE ONLY OPEN TO NEW (2022) MEMBERS FROM 6.a.m. to 9 p.m (minimum limits on landing nets & cradles):

 

CRAYS HILL (BARLEYLANDS):   T B           Agricultural reservoir. Carp to over 40lbs, roach, tench, bream.

 

LITTLE EASTON (LAUNDRY LAKE):   T B     A three-acre lake containing carp to over 35lbs.

A very limited number of night passes on these two waters will be available to new members in their second year of membership.

 

Rivers

RIVER PANT, SHALFORD: K                   1 mile with 3 access points. Chub to 4lbs, roach, dace, brown trout.

 

RIVER BLACKWATER, BRAINTREE: T K      Skirting our lakes (above). Chub to 4lbs, roach, dace, perch, carp, pike.

 

RIVER RODING, STANFORD RIVERS: K      1.5 miles with 3 access points. Chub to 6lbs, roach to 2lbs, dace, perch, pike.

 

RIVER WID, WRITTLE: K          A mile stretch with a weirpool. Chub to 5lbs, roach to 2lbs, bream to 4lbs, pike, dace, carp, tench, eels.

 

RIVER STOUR, HENNY STREET: K N          ¾ -mile with a weirpool. Chub to 6lbs, pike to 22lbs, bream to 10lbs, roach, perch, tench.

 

CHELMER & BLACKWATER NAVIGATION: K N           14 miles available from Chelmsford to Heybridge Basin. Details on our website.

 

APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP    Print off the on-line form from our website www.bdac.co.uk. We require one passport-size photo, with

 

your name written on the reverse if posting,  for your photocard. A Non-Fishing member must send in a separate form and photograph.

 

FASTRACK MEMBERSHIP: Pay by INTERNET BANKING only. No cheques will be accepted from new members in 2022.
