Billericay & District Angling Club Waters

Here are our waters available to members from 2005. Fuller details including directions, car parking arrangements, fishery by-laws and times of fishing, appear in the Club Handbook you will receive.
At the end of each location, we describe accessibility and terrain, to assist the less mobile members to decide whether the water would be suitable.

LITTLE EASTON FISHERIES
RECTORY PONDS

    Key: T B
Lower lake
Upper Lake

The top car park will be closed on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th August 2007

These three lakes have proved to be extremely popular, especially with our membership from the West Essex and East London. They are heavily stocked, and hold the Club match records for ladies and juniors with weights over 90 lbs and nearly 80 lbs respectively. Two adjoining lakes in the village hold carp, bream, roach, rudd and crucians, with most fish being caught very close in. A half mile away is a larger lake containing mainly carp, with fast growing fish now being caught close to 20 lbs. For more information please read the handbook

Flushtoilet facilities are available here.

IMPORTANT NOTE: These fisheries are on a private estate where the grounds are maintained and managed by the owner to a high standard of excellence. Misconduct by Club members could jeopardise the Club lease on these fisheries. Rectory Ponds are of a size which could well accommodate more than the number of pegs specified. This number has been stipulated by the owner. Also at this venue NO UNOFFICIAL matches are to be held.

GENERAL ADVICE: This fishery holds a very good head of fish, carp, roach, skimmers, rudd and some tench, with a few other species.

Parking at both locations is within a short walk of nearest swims.

The proposed Stansted expansion is threatening Little Easton, Laundry Lake, Armigers and High Easter.  See WWW.stopstanstedexpansion.com for more and information details on how to complain to your MP.
