Billericay & District Angling Club Waters

Here are our waters available to members from 2005. Fuller details including directions, car parking arrangements, fishery by-laws and times of fishing, appear in the Club Handbook you will receive.
At the end of each location, we describe accessibility and terrain, to assist the less mobile members to decide whether the water would be suitable.

Armigers Lake     Key: T B K

These two adjoining lakes are stream fed, and have become popular with members as they can produce reasonable catches, even in the Winter. Our match record was broken here in 2001 with a weight of 104 lbs of carp, and pleasure weights of this calibre are quite common in the Summer.

Individual carp reach 25 lbs, with a few tench up to 6 lbs, and plenty of roach and rudd.

Short walk down a moderate incline to the nearest swims.

ARMIGERS DOUBLE DOUBLE (2001)

Tommy Stevens of Basildon shared a good day's fishing with his parents at Armigers Thaxted. Leaving his parents on the bottom lake he fished the top lake and landed a carp of over 19-1b. With arm-ache he moved back to the bottom lake next to his parents and landed a carp of over 20-1b. Well done Tom, and thanks for the report.
For more information please refer to the handbook.
