still have litter being left
and I cannot put this all down to the public who walk round the lake.

PARSONAGE FARM
First of all a big thank you for those that took
the time to phone and give me information on their catches it was most
appreciated. Bream are being caught by those who try the bigger baits, sweet corn is catching the better quality fish,
lots and lots of roach coming out on maggots with reports of tench up to
7-8 lbs. No reports as yet of any decent size perch but if you know better
please give me a ring. All swims are looking good and some have been cut in
by some of our regulars, big thanks for that and also to the owner who
keeps the grass cut round the fishery. Please remember to use barbless
hooks and not to keep your fish in keep nets for too long.

SHALFORD
Both lakes still continue
to fish well despite the small drop in temperature. All the usual species
are being caught with best baits being pellet, meat and bread for the carp
and maggots for the smaller fish. Fishing to the island on the bottom
lake will find you a few better carp. Now we have had a few flush throughs with rain the river fishing should pick up
with some nice chub to be caught. Can I also remind members fishing Codham
Mill to please take their litter home with them.

RIVER STOUR,
HENNY.
At the end of the summer I was lucky enough to
witness an EA electro fishing survey being done on our section of the Stour. These surveys are done
every couple of years on the same location to see if any trends can be
noted. One thing that was apparent was the good numbers of varying year
classes of roach (the best in fact for many years). A couple of good size
pike were taken along with some big bream and chub, surprisingly some baby
Tench were caught. Sadly no barbel showed. The river is extremely clear at
the moment, but the weed is dying off. A bit of rain should sort things
out, fingers crossed!
